The story
About this van
I built this slate-blue ProMaster over a winter in Boone to be the simple, warm, well-made camper I couldn’t find for sale. The 159 Extended body gives you a fixed queen over a real bike garage without giving up a galley you can stand at, and the whole interior is black walnut and cream lacquer with brass hardware, sealed with Rubio Monocoat.
It is an honest two-person layout: 300Ah of SOK lithium, 200W of solar, a Propex furnace that has kept us warm at Grandfather Mountain in single digits, and a Dometic CRX 65 that runs for days. No bathroom, by design; a pull-out step and a private outdoor curtain rail get it done. Insulation is Havelock wool wall to ceiling, and the floor is cork over XPS.
The ProMaster 3500 with the 3.6L Pentastar has 46,500 well-kept miles, new Michelin Agilis tires, and every service record. Selling because we are moving up to a 4x4. Cash or verified bank transfer; happy to meet at any shop in the High Country for an inspection.
